Boulder Not Achieving Important Transportation Objectives

Is Boulder being effective in achieving the most important transportation objectives? I believe the answer is clearly “no.” In recent years, a large number of citizens have been killed or seriously injured in traffic crashes on Boulder roads. We are seeing a worldwide crisis in global climate change due to excessive carbon emissions (a huge percentage coming from motor vehicles), the heating of cities due to the massive percentage of land area paved for cars, and a leveling off of bicycling and transit ridership after decades of growth.
