Examples of Hostile Streets

The most hostile major roadways are Broadway, Canyon, East Arapahoe, 28th, Iris, and Colorado. The relatively hostile nature of major roads in Boulder is nurtured by a common community conclusion that the off-street path system is sufficient for bicycling and walking, and that the roadway system is therefore not in need of being designed for cycling or walking.
